Here’s a quiz comprised of 20 typical questions on the Citizenship Exam. Let’s see how you do on this Independence Day…

Not to brag or anything, but I got 100%.

Woohoo!!! 65% correct and I am a Canuck!!!

They got me on the naturalization form. DRAT!

I missed two, #3 and #19… IT is a history test more than anything. I always thought that it was kind of funny that they test peolpes knowledge of irellevant bits of history, to become a citizen. There must be more relevant questions that pertain to actual citizenship I would think? I guess the John Roberts question was current, but a question on what the supreme court actually does might be more relevant…I guess it was kind of like my old history classes, memorizing lots of dates and places, that mean nothing, unless of course you make it onto Jeporady some day…I had a history professor in college that was great though. He taught what the founding fathers were really like, not gods, but real human beings with flaws and everything…

19 out of 20, I misread the question on Representatives.

I got them all right, but I can sure see how an average person might miss a couple. There were a few I had to make a best guess on. I could have just as easily missed 2 or 3.

Busted, I got one wrong.

How am I supposed to know what the naturalization form is?

These are the tough questions? I would hate to see the easy ones.

This reminds me of the test here required to graduate from high school. It seems like it should be the test required in order to enter high school.

ha, 40%, I guess it’s a good thing I’m not interested in citizenship right now (have a green card). Had to guess most of them as I’ve never studied any american history, did alright on the current ones. I’ll have to study for a day or two if I decide to go that route in the future.

I got 3 wrong, but one of the questions I got wrong, they say in the quiz that the answer given is only partially correct, so I’ll take credit for that one too. Call it 90%. How the hell am I supposed to know which form to fill out? I also forgot who said “give me liberty or give me death”. Sorry.

The sad thing is, I probably know more about American history than I do about Canadian.

19 out of 20, although I’m holding out that part of the reason the pilgrims sailed to America was to meet the indians. Really no way to be sure, though.

The sad thing is I know nothing about either…and my British history is patchy…I could still remember a bunch about the Napoleonic wars (stick that Francois Boneparte) but am pretty clueless about periods we never studied at school…

I was shocked to see that “religious” question in there.

I was expecting something more along the lines of Thanksgiving was a holiday in which the Pilgrims celebrated the help they received from the Indians.

Didn’t you have a few misogynistic Kings assorted through the ages? I get confused in the Middle Ages. Who were the Normans and who were the Saxons?

Didn’t see it. My government-issue computer is set to filter out all religious-themed material. I was barely able to read your post.

Yeehaw! 100%!! I did guess on the naturalization form, though.

Spot

The Normans were (spit!) French. The Saxons may have been ferreigners too but I’m not really sure.

Way too many kings to remember them all even if i wanted to…

Way too many kings to remember them all even if i wanted to

They were all named Edward, George or Henry, should be easy enough. Oh yeah, and some guy named Arthur who was made King because he pulled a knife out of a rock.

Um…70%. I think I can still be a citizen though. History is not my strong suit.

Weren’t the Saxons German? (as in from Saxony?)
