Question regarding which tyre is faster/more efficient.
I have a Zipp Firecrest 404 25mm @95psi (Clincher). I also have a Zipp Super-9 21mm @100psi (Tubular). Both 11 spd.
I rode the disc for the first time today, as I normally ride the 404, and felt as if I struggled to maintain speed/momentum.
Thoughts?
Crummy tires on the disc could make it slower. Would need to know what tires to are on each
Grand Prix 4000s II on the 404.
Zipp tangente on the disc
Depends in the Zipp vintage. The original ones with the dimples had horrible Crr.
Those tires were so bad you would feel glues day to the road. The later Zips were pretty good
