3M paint protection film

Where do you buy this stuff? also, can you only get it for specific body parts of specific cars?

I am putting clip on roof racks on my Tucson and I just want a few small pieces to put where the roof racks will connect on the car.

I need it today or tomorrow. I thought it would be easy to find.

Amazon Prime overnight?

Other than that, I don’t really know my way around Quebec or wherever the hell you are up there.

Have you tried your local phone book? Maybe go to the library and do some research. Lexis Nexis?

Go to a shop that installs the stuff and give them a couple bucks for some scraps.

Whitby. Geez, everyone knows Whitby.

What is you? Ignant?

Go to Canadian Tire, I hear they have everything!

Google for local places that do signs and such. One or more will wrap vehicles and containers for advertising purposes, and they will have clear wrap on hand

Any painters supply store.

Gotta keep the Hyundai paint job looking lookin mint so it’s collector value is not affected.

But seriously - just use some rubber under the roof rack foot. You can get sheets of silicone rubber or trivet at the dollar store.

Think pantry shelf liner would work?

Panty liner is not a good idea… well, maybe the one’s with wings…

The kitchen cupboard liner is usually some sort of polyurethane foam, laid up in a grid pattern. The problem with it is that compared to silicone rubber it breaks down quickly in heat and sunlight. It may work for the short term.

Word to your mother.

Think pantry shelf liner would work?

Oh gawd no. Don’t do that. Try an auto parts store.

At the risk of crossing the line into sports-related talk - how about cutting up an old inner tube and making flat rubber sheets to go between the feet and the roof?

Suck it. I used pantry shelf liner. 3M film is in order from amazon though.

Yeah, that won’t cause any problems …

Then again, you fuck moose, so you have bigger issues than the finish on your car …

I don’t think one trip to the cottage will cause issues. My kayak straps have already scratched the shit out of the paint anyway. Mostly I am doing this to appease the wife.

The cottage, eh? Going to see the mistress …

No moose there. Maybe I’ll see an otter or a beaver. Or a fox. That’s about it.
