everyone ready for the TDF, I sure am. Can’t wait to see the battle between Tyler Hamilton, Jan Ulhrich, and Lance! Let’s here what people are going to do to watch the TDF.

I think I’ll go to Belgium and France to watch the first 10 days live. ![]()
Yes, I leave in 31 days!!!
Anyone have any thoughts on what to see/do in Brussels??? (Besides do a taste-test on the beer.)
clm
what about Mayo and Vinikourov?
you are in phoenix right? where are you watching the tdf since cox dropped oln? or do you have the digital package?

Love that city. I haven’t been there for years but my daughter did her grade 10 year there on a student exchange living with a host family about five years ago. We went to school there for the year and came back completely bilingual.
La Grande Place in the historic center of the city is a must do. Beer tasting in one of the many outdoor cafes is another fine idea.
“We went to school there for the year and came back completely bilingual.”
My typo. She went to school there for the year. I wasn’t so lucky, but still had to pay for hers!

I am in Phx, and I was pissed that Cox moved OLN…so I finally bit the bullet and got digital cable. It is only $11 more per month, definitely worth it for the summer cycling season…
That’s funny - I was thinking, I didn’t know you could do that! I want to have a daughter, send her on a foreign exchange and then show up at the nice family’s house with her. What a great way to see the world. Hehe.
I think Lance’s biggest rivals will be Vino and Hamilton. I don’t think Beloki or Ullrich are in good form right now. And time is running out. If OLN is telling the truth, they are all but out as far as contending for the TdF. That’s assuming that OLN isn’t spinning things in Lance’s direction. They wouldn’t do that . . .

Oh shoot almost forgot about the TDF…anyone recommend a good reliable not bankrupt cable company for the North Chicago area?
thanks
I copped up the extra 5 bucks a month to get oln… i am just too adicted to the stuff… ohh well,

I will have my trainer set up in front of OLN every night between 8-10 for the recap show. I love pedaling while watching the race. I figure 2 hours a night religiously for three weeks, plus long rides on the weekend, should be a decent bike “camp”.
there is a nice park to run in brussels just up the hill from the central train station. actually it’s easy to run around the city in the morning.
Tons of good restaurants with still twitching fresh seafood. awesome architecture on the older buildings. I wish I remembered the name of a church that was there w/ an awesome steeple in the grand 'place. at night the steeple was framed by ourhotel window at the royal windsor.
you should consider a side trip to bruge as well
