It’s hard to get a perfectly straight cut with a dremel but it can be done. One problem is the cutting disc isn’t large enough to cut through the entire tube so you have to cut around it. I used a hacksaw with a fine tooth blade and a cheap miter box from Lowe’s that works perfectly (it’s just yellow plastic box - costs under $10 from what I remember). I’ve used it on carbon forks several times and the cuts came out perfectly straight. Just make sure to tape over the area to help avoid splintering. Also make sure you wear a mask. You really don’t want to inhale carbon fiber dust. Use a sanding block with a fine grit paper to clean up the ends and you’re good to go.
