Once fitted in the store is this ample time to get a feel for this bike or any bike for that matter? Before dropping this kind of cash wouldn’t you expect to get more than a 30 minute test ride???
If you are properly fitted…how much more time would you need?
It’s going to take you a while to get completely dialed in anyway…a test ride of 30 min, 1 hr, 2 hr, whatever isn’t going to change that.
Actually - if you are fitted well-don’t think you need a test ride. From what I hear, P3Cs are pretty nice bikes. Think it will ride ok.
I don’t think 30 minutes is going to be long enough to tell you anything. There are so many variables- fit, saddle selection, etc. I am not sure what you are trying to get out of your 30 minute test ride. What are you hoping to achieve?
as you ride more bikes, it gets easier to feel what kind of personality the bike as. I would think 30 minutes is plenty for me to have a good idea of what the bike will be like when finaly fitted well.
I will agree that been fitted on a trainer is a good starting point but it will take a lot longer to finalize the fit and 30 minutes on the road will probably not be enought to dial in the position but you will still have a pretty good idea of what it will feel like when dial in.
after positionning inside and getting all the mesuring right, i like to go ride on a very nice paved and quiet road with a set of allen keys and just make the last adjustement on feel… that usualy do the trick for me!
P3C is a very nice bike and there is no bad surprise waiting for you in that machine!
As a owner of a P3C I agree with Jonnyo. Tim
With a new bike you need to be refit regardless in 2-3 weeks after you start riding it.
