“but I’m just not sure how I feel about the Marathon, you know? I guess my OCD running behaviour stem from when my daddy finished the Ironman and didn’t let me cross the finish line with him.”

Is that Ian in the story our own “DashTO”?

Wow - I didn’t even put the two together. If so, Ian, no offense intended!

Yeah, that’s DashTO. So that’s what happened to you. I saw you last just before Casa Loma and was wondering where you were after that. So sorry to hear about your knee Ian. :frowning:

We saw the psych tent prior to the race and were kind of making fun of the whole idea, but reading that article gives me a different perspective. My wife knew the guy who died during the race 4 years ago- when the unthinkable happens it must have been helpful having trained people there for the family who are waiting at the finish line.

BTW- did anyone notice the massage tent sponsored by the Church of Scientology? There was a waitlist for the main massage tent, but that one looked to have several open beds! I guess people were afraid they would try to convert you while on the table.

You have got to be joking.

Nope, it was smaller tent ~8 tables beside the big massage tent. Looked like you could just walk in and get a massage- people were lined up for the main tent.
