Is there anything weird or cheesy (or that makes it a bad idea) about using Hed 3’s on a road bike? I do a lot of 100km or longer solo rides on a winding but no tight turns, no intersections highway with a few short climbs and like the idea of having aero and somewhat bulletproof wheels because it’s also a low traffic, no houses wilderness highway with very poor cell reception through most of it.
I’ve used the rear Hed 3 (okay, that’s a lie – it was a Specialized TriSpoke) in road races. Haven’t done the front, but there was a guy (Cat 2 local hotshot) that did. Never had any issues.
