2XU two piece

I like the way the 2XU line fits and looks, I dig the new all black Elite 2 piece kit. Being that this line is made for short course, mainly non-wetsuit, which I wont be racing, is it less breathable than others? I will be doing mainly olys with 1-2 halfs. Any advice would be very helpful

thanx

I’ve been racing with 2xu elite tri shorts and comp tops (for the little pocket) for two years now, and I would not use anything else for race day, they are the best. I did IMKy with the elite shorts, it was Hot as HELL! and had no issues with moisture management, I was rash free, and never in the race did I thought about what I was wearing, I was super comfortable. I used the same combo in Lubbock 70.3, same thing, and I did try the elite in Austin 70.3, because they said it was not going to be wetsuit legal but at the end it was wetsuit legal, so I did not get to test how slippery it is in the water (that was my intention). And again excellent moisture management, super comfy, they last longer than other brands that I have used. And the fit is the best there is, its like a second skin.

Now I’m training on a pair of endurance tri shorts, that I bought for IMMoo but the chamy is to thick for me, I don’t like the chamy but the quality of the shorts is so good that I still have them, they last and last. No way to convince my wife that I need new ones!

I hope this helps. I could post some pics but I’m not exactly a fashion model, so go with my word…

thanks

Any other thoughts?

Not less breathable but definetely more delicate!

i disagree with the others on the less breathable, it seems to me that the slickness for the swimming does reduce the breathability and I would not wear the 2xu elite for a hot half IM or longer after an experience last year where I truly felt like I was wrapped in saran wrap on a 94 degree day…good in the water and probably fine for the shorter races but if it is hot and long I would steer clear
