I like it. It prevents spammers and people who don’t really have an interest in the ST community. It is a privately owned bulletin board and they get to make whatever rules they want. It still beats paying a fee to access this target group.
The slowtwitch classifieds are meant as a nice tool for regular slowtwitch users. It is not the world wide web market place, that is what eBay and Craig’s List are for.

I read it differently, you can’t make an account and blast out 25 posts then start selling things, your account needs to be at least 30 days old and you have to have a minimum of 25 posts.

That’s interesting. I’ve always thought the minimum number of posts to particiate in classifieds (i’ve seen it on a number of boards) were excessive. But, i’ve never thought about it from that point of view.
