Seat and bars are set, shifting and brakes are dead on. The bike is SMOOOTH…BB is very solid. I just need to cut the steerer at the LBS and we are set. I cant wait for the real first ride.

Very nice!! I thought you were going with SMP pedals?
PS: Why is Estee hiding?
I’m not man enough to ride a pink bike … but very nice build. Are those bikes available in the US, I went to the website and seems to be a UK only bike?
Yeah! What about the SMPs?
I believe Zedsport (zedsport.com) is the US distributor. Call them…
Im in Phoenix for wok all week. Just ran 5 miles at 4pm in 108 degree heat when I read this post. Its hot. The pool seemed like p*ss water, A pink bike? Are you serious? Brings back memories of Talledaga Nights dude.
Peace out.
No fear at all about the SMP. I have the Powertap all setup to finally do the tests on the new bike. SMP -vs- Time RSX watt for watt.

You would want to call ZedSport’s (www.zedsport.com) at 650-728-BIKE (2453) for information. I am coming off a Cervelo to the Carbon Pro Stealth…so far I LOVE the PX. The rear wheel “thumb screws” are genius as compared to the 2.5mm bolts on the Cervelo and other brands out there. I will take some pics.

.
Wow you couldn’t find a pink bike and had to settle. Looks like a reincarnation of Kim Bushong’s 1982 fall Ironman Bike. You have to ask Monty about that guy. Sweet ride. Kim invented the famous TV taper.
Great build Chip !
What would you say are the weight savings between the Record Carbon and Dura-Ace in your opinion ?
I have always ridden Shimano , but my DA crank probably weighs 4 or 5 times your set up !
Not trying to start a “discussion” but looking for real advice.
Thanks and congrats on your new rig !
Terry
With bar ends they are about the same. STI -vs- Ergo Campy wins with the weight. All in all I am calling the PX bike about 18lbs as seen there. It is much lighter than my Cervelo. I am a real fan of the new crankset that Campy and now Fulcrum among others are putting out there. I just hope the bearings outlast the Shimano and SRAM and ISIS systems that have seen the end of days. Blind folded I cant tell Shimano 105 on Scott DH bars from Campy Record bar ends…the real battle is STI and Ergo (Ergo wins hands down with capabilities). All my road bikes and wheels are Campy - thus are my Tri bikes.
The new DA crank is only about 20 grams more than the Record crank (and BB). You could go pee and save more weight.
thats a great looking bike!
Thanks , appreciate the feedback and data.
My present crank ( different pedals now ).
Using VT base bar with R-Bends.
And I love your dog ! I’ll add that pic to the other ten I have ![]()
You need to contact Tai for some pink decals for the Zipps. The red, yellow and pink clash horribly, but then again so will all your yellow shoes!!!
Or simply remove the decals and leave it like that. Cool bike. (But will it be cool in, er …, ten years?)
Chip–you’re killing me.

nice ride, man. oh…i’m so envious!
Or one? I doubt Chip will keep it for more than 3 years.
Sweet!
Just out of curiosity… Are the backward-mounted elbow cups a comfort thing or ???
