No comments on the Tour team selection?.
Caja Rural over the Rockets? makes no sense to me at all.

These two are awesome with this
Absolutely moronic decision from ASO. In no way does Caja Rural bring more value to the TdF than The Rockets.
Yeah, I donât get that one. Only logic I can think of is ASO figures they already have the Dutch market with Alpecin, so Caja helps keep Spain engaged (sorry Movistar, Nairoman isnât going to be last/next stage winner).
This pre-ride video might be my favorite part of the weekend.
Torn for today. Brand had such an unbelievable season, want to see her finish it off in style. But will be as excited if Puck or Ceylin win.
Saw Gaimon got mauna kea again. Posting here as the general tri chat probably just has pithy responses about how any old age grouper triathlon could go take it back.
Agreed 100%. I would have loved the other riders to win too, but damn Brand deserved that.
I love triathlon and being able to do 3 sports well is a massive talent in and of itself. That said, some of the triathlete beliefs with regard to cycling crack me up. I say this with respect and as someone far less talented, Phil is a washed up pro and he can still take these segments. Send the top 20 riders of a grand tour to any of these segments and they would annihilate it. I donât think any triathlete would be close to what a pro cyclist can do.
Different jobs, different skillsets.
I wanted to see what time the menâs race starts. Here is the response I received from a simple google search. AI can gladly go away.
The 2026 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships took place in Hulst, Netherlands, from 30 January to 1 February 2026, with the Menâs Elite race held on Sunday, 1 February 2026, at 15:10 CET.
Mathieu van der Poel, the reigning seven-time world champion and overwhelming favorite, was expected to aim for an historic eighth titleâa record-breaking achievement. However, he did not compete due to injury.
The race was won by Thibau Nys of Belgium, who claimed his first elite world title. Nys, who had previously finished third in 2025, delivered a dominant performance on the challenging 3.24 km course with 40 meters of elevation gain, 7 bridges, and 22 stairs.
Other top contenders included Tibor Del Grosso, Niels Vandeputte, Michael Vanthourenhout, Toon Aerts, Emiel Verstrynge, and Laurens Sweeck, though several faced setbacks during the season.
The course, known as the Vestingcross Hulst, was redesigned for the championships, featuring water sections, a new meadow, and increased technical difficulty, contributing to a dynamic and unpredictable race.
thatâs hilarious
Hard to argue with that, she was the most dominant woman riders all season. Looked like Puck took a hard hit.
Yeah, thatâs a âwhat might have beenâ. The way things were going over the past couple of weeks, Puck was a real threat to beat Brand. That was a hard crash. Gritty podium finish.
Iâve started using the term RI as a counter. Reality Intelligence.
Not on this course bub
MvdP has some staggering power and skill.
I like that RI termâŚthese LLMs were trained on the most stupid shit humans put online. The results reflect that largely.
Pure domination. Like I said before, Nys x TdG is going to make for great cross next year.
Getting primed for the Loop with some early racing.
Remco is riding like El Jefe instead of riding like he has to show everyone he is El Jefe.
Binny opens his NSN acount in Torreblanca.
Great finish to Bessages. Team Flanders Baloise lives on.
Youngster watch: Hector Alvarez, 19, nice ride with Morgado at Calvia. Strong like bull.
The cycling name of the week is Hettie van der Wouw.
Iâll add a belated name of the week from the AlUla Tour: Frits Biesterbos
Collarbone (and wrist) for Mads, what shit news. Really hope he can be on form for Holy Week.
yikes. Hoping Mads and Wout can get on the Matty Hayman program and lay the wood to the monument hoarders. We occasionally get on a soapbox or two with the crashes every season and it sure as $hizzle only seems to be getting more and more dangerous. glad the nieces race mtb. mvdpâs ride at worlds and remcoâs rides in mallorca are scary. hoping more than just Pogi can hang with them. gearing up for âloop for sure but kind of interested in uae vinge/raging/remcoâŚ. i suspect i can get a few gravel bike rides on da road next week in central VA. might be the longest road bike interregnum ever for me. gravel bike with terra speed 45 is a solid sub though.
Sucks bigly for Mads, was hoping heâd get a big W this spring.
Weâre pretty socked in with snow still, gonna be another week or more.
