I caught whole game start to finish. Maye played great. And not just luck into a good offensive scheme against a poor defensive plan. He has all the intangible that you could want. He seemed to see the field well, could read and adjust, mobile and able to extend plays, tough, and wicked strong arm both for off balance long passes and short bullets in a tight window. I was wildly impressed.
I only caught clips of the game on NFL Redzone, but play after play. I saw him throwing darts on target while sprinting away from defenders. It was impressive.
Thinking of a different game on Red Zone. I had it on while I was hanging out with my son last night and only checked in here and there, but I saw at least three or four plays where he was being pursued and threw darts for 10 or 15 yards apiece.
To answer my own question from earlier about how they handled the Sanchez announcement on-air. Chris Meyers did send out thoughts and prayers, but not surprisingly didn’t mention any details when introducing Brady Quinn as his fill in.
Imagine that call to Brady. Brady, you’re not going to believe this but Mark got in a knife fight with some oil delivery guy. You’re going to need to get on a plane to Indy.
KC is a +3.5 favorite in Jax tonight. I think they cover that easily if they can hold onto the ball. Jacksonville makes its money on turnovers, first in the league at +13.
I miss the old format of the 2-point underdog pick. Every game had some spice to it.
Hoping the Chiefs still win, I/we could use that win. Was actually wondering if he would celebrate too soon and drop the ball before the end zone. That seems to be going around.
