Just to be clear, we can opt out of the prop bet. Even this week with just one we can be ‘safe’ and not take the bet, right? To opt out, we just don’t include the bet(s) in our choices? is that the best for you?

Yes, prop bets are optional since they require risking points to win points. All things considered it shouldn’t tilt the table one way or the other; if the bets are reasonably well conceived they’ll break 50/50 and if not the free points should be obvious to anyone with points there for the taking.
So for example if we have 5 tied for 1st place this week we may have 5 prop bets in play, assuming all 5 submit one in time. You can play all, none, or pick which bets to play. So copy and paste only the ones you want to play and note your answers.
With almost 30 players now the prop bets component could get interesting.
I agree that the prop bet probably won’t decide the week. But it could. If you opt out you’re 1 point behind everyone who got it right.
If there is a tie resulting in more than 1 prop bet the following week things will get more interesting. I’ll probably still do them and take the chance of being ahead of those that opted out.

Was still thinking about it. Still not sure how many of the props I’ll jump into - I, uhh… can’t afford to loose points - but this one just seems statistically highly unlikely.

You can be as creative as you want so long as it’s resolved that week and the options are binary. Who scores more points, Patriots or Tar Heels; does Caleb Williams play in colored or nude nail polish etc.
