2025 NFL Draft

LOL.

Flailing fanboy…

I’m sure the kid with the giant ego who’s all about the money doesn’t care where he was drafted or the difference between where he was projected to be drafted and actually drafted…

Sure…

Haha.

I"ll be surprised if he makes it to a second contract.

Um …Um…if you get a seconds big contract you’re still missing out on the millions that came beforehand

This is a huge misconception that so many people have about professional athletes. They look at the top earners and then project that onto the rest of the league.*

2/3 of players getting a contract this year will be gone in 4 years, which means the “BIG contract” that 907 is referring to is $0.

Shedeur may or may not get a big contract in 4 years. I’m certain he believes that he will, but considering how over the top he’s been flaunting his $4 million college money, I don’t think for a second that he’s just going to put that ego on hold for 4 years. Mr “dollar sign squared” can’t exactly flash his watch in the NFL if he’s not on a big contract.

*Note: actually, they even project that onto college players. I can’t tell you how many people argued that college players wouldn’t mind playing for little more than tuition because their payday would be coming in the pros. For some of them, yes. For 98.4% of them, nope.

And A LOT of first round picks are out of the league quick and never make the big money nor get that second contract.

It’s not about where you are drafted, especially if you can’t play.

But your CERTAIN he believes he will get that big contract, just another assumption with zero evidence of what he has actually said.

Just like everyone here was calling him and Deion out saying they wouldn’t win at Colorado, then once they did they kept moving the goalposts, but he didn’t do “x”

Your hate on the man is real and the obsession to call everything out is a bit weird.

I’m just here for the entertainment

It is an argument in semantics.

Whether he “lost” money or failed to maximize his potential draft status and, in effect, did not earn substantially more money in his rookie contract, you arrive at the same place. Through his own actions, he failed to get drafted where many projected that he would.

And that left him with a contract (that you call “pretty nice” and I’ll agree that it is), that is only in line with what a college quarterback can make through a reasonable NIL deal, and he likely would have made much more if he stayed at Colorado.

From a financial perspective, he shot himself in the foot and I can’t buy any argument to the contrary.

Just gonna toss this grenade into the conversation and keep on walking

“Left money on the table” is the fitting term here. He cost himself a bigger payday with his off-field behavior.

There’s no credible argument to the contrary.

Rookie contracts are all within a fixed range depending on the round. All of which are far below what a QB starter makes when he’s not on a rookie contract.

He lost some money by not being a 1st rounder. The flip side of that, is that the first few QBs selected usually go to teams who were bad enough to get the high draft picks. Playing for one as a QB is a good chance of either poor stats or injury leading to a backup job or retirement. That’s why Shedeur (er… Deion) was trying to control which teams he’d play for.

The real failure is that he lost a little money now, and still ended up on a shitty team.

Does that out him ahead of Brady in terms of round adjusted contracts? I say yes

The Browns are a decent team. Shitty quarterbacking is keeping them from being a very good team and I don’t believe Sanders will change that.

It’s not just the QB that’s the problem with that record. It’s across the board, including the OL which will get Sanders killed with his slow release.

Let the Legendary chants begin.

Looks like a shitty defense where they can’t even hardly get a stop on the 3rd and 4th string qb’s…
