I think it’s a matter of the spectrum of venues in town
You have The Linc and Citizens Bank Park for the big stadium shows, then Camden or The Mann for outdoor summer venues, but then you drop down a few steps to smaller venues like The Filmore, The Met, Union Transfer, and so on
During most of the year, Wells Fargo (now Xfinity Mobile Arena) is booked for either the 76ers or (fucking awful) Flyers, so it’s easier to get a slot at Hershey or AC on the calendar

We’re going there to see The Sword next week.
Ha, just this past Friday my buddy offered me his Sword tickets because he’s leaving for a trip to Japan. I hadn’t really heard of The Sword and turned them down.
I’ve seen clips of her on occasion. Total badass.
Last night - Brandy Clark & Mary Chapin Carpenter. Cahn Auditorium, Evanston IL. Both were excellent - bands were super tight, sound was perfect - you could pick out every instrument and vocal without trying too hard. Didn’t know squat about Brandy Clark going in, but she picked up a couple fans last night and Chapin was fantastic as expected - the new stuff she played was great.
