We just bought a 2013 Nissan Altima (6 days ago) with only 90.000km/56.000mi on it, it has push button start and yesterday wouldn’t start, all I heard was a loud click under the hood, tried everything recommended with the fob but nothing. So just now tried again and it started like nothing happened. I’m stumped. ???

My brother in law had the same issue with an Altima last winter. If you don’t find the answer soon, reply back to this and I can go find out what he did. I believe it was some switch that was broken, so he had to permanently press it. The replacement switch was $700, but it wasn’t required to work. Took him 15 minutes to fix once he found the right youtube video.
Thanks guy’s, will look at the brake light switch and the wire leading from the solenoid to the starter.
