Any recall in the US or elsewhere?

I guess no ST’ers have a bought a E-118 then?

I just checked with distributor in Spain - awaiting reply. Thomas - E118 owner

any Argon 18 reps care to comment?
as an Argon 18 rider (road, not tri) i’m interested to hear what they say.

“the stem spacer sold on this model may not produce enough tension, allowing the handlebars to suddenly rotate.”

Stem spacer? Are we talking a shim? I realize I’m not familiar with their integrated setup, but what does that mean?

Also, Jesus, what’s next? “One wheel may puncture, suddenly losing pneumatic pressure, making the bicycle hard to control. Loss of control may result in injury or death. Please destroy all items immediately.”

I don’t get it. so only the one’s sold in Australia had this problem? Weren’t they sold all over the world already?

We issued the notice to our worldwide distribution network last night E.S.T. Our Australian distributor reported the issue first and due to time difference and that we had to produce in two languages in Canada there was a timing off-set. Here is the actual notice we issued yesterday for your reference: http://bit.ly/zUA63d

Production 3 means what our distributors received in Jan/Feb. Any unit shipped to a retailer after March 1st will not have any issues.

The recall is a preventative measure involving a very small percentage of units of early production of cosmetic plates on the reversible stem spacer. It is a very simple fix for an Authorized Retailer.

I will try to reply to posts but this text should cover any and all questions.

See my recent post and feel free to message me or reply here. I will do my best to respond in a timely manner.

Cheers and thanks for your support.

thanks for the quick response, Jeff. i’m sure all E-118 owners will be glad to hear this.
this is one of the reasons i love this site.

Sorry-I meant to reply to your post above…see my post to jkoop.
