Anyone have experience with these?
Any comparison vs the Mavic Cosmic Carbone or Real Design 60s?
Is it stupid to keep any of the above as everyday wheelset for simplicity sake?

A guy in our bike club rides a set of Assaults on his Look 595 every ride. He’s a big guy (6’ 4", 210 I would guess) and has never had a problem that I know of.
I put a ton of miles on a set of assaults and 66’s (both clincher) over the summer and still have the 66’s on my roadie. I’m about 190lbs right now. I ride in the rain and wet too. Great wheels, even though I’m a little biased.
So if I could snag a set for $600 with a cassette and tires/tubes, it would be better than:
-2009 Flashpoints
-2009 Cosmic Carbones (at $100 more)
???
I’d tend to say Yes. Especially if they are 2011 with the blue pads and new brake track.
Do all 2011s have the upgraded surface and pads?
These are 2011s, but not sure on the details…
Yes. i was saying that more to confirm that they are in fact 2011s.
