Hey all, question for anyone that might know.
Without going into great detail an online triathlon store “owes” me a front 2009 Zipp 808 clincher. I say “owe” because I’ve already paid for it.
The story I’m getting from their end is that it’s on back order and they are still waiting for it. I’m wondering if I’m getting the run around or if this is a legit excuse on their part.
It’s already been three weeks by the way.

friend emailed me last night and is borrowing my 808s for a race this weekend. Ordered some and said they are running behind. Hope that helps
I’m in the exact same boat with a front 808 clincher I ordered last month. They have been said to be running behind on them.
Legit. Zipp’s clinchers are a bit behind at the factory.
If you have ordered the wheel and they have no proof of shipment then under INCOTERMS if they are delievring ex-works they can’t charge you until it leaves the facility and they can provide proof of shipment.
If you are going to hand over the money and they are taking no risk and buying to order from Zipp you may as well buy from Zipp
The amount of bike shops that screw you around on zipp wheels is amazing. Not the same as you but I tried to buy some run out 2008 zipp 808, I found 10 bike shops that advertised the wheel as available but then turned around and said they did not have them in stock when I called them. but if you had transacted online you end up paying the money and having to get a reversal when you find out they can’t deliver on what they advertised.
All I can say is than god for that guy in Michigan bikesport as they rock, give you the best deal, look after you and sell you what is best for you what you want and don’t buy into any brand wars
