Whats the hottest and most functional tri-clothing for 2007?
Say, isn’t that an oxymoron? I would’ve thought the most functional clothing would be the coolest.
there are alot of cool looking things on the market that are not functional.
I am definitly starting to lean more and more to desoto stuff. It looks amazing but they need something to match my p3c darn it all… or i could just paint that… hmm decisions decisions.
That and i use brooks running stuff all the time and that stuff is made wonderfully. i am hooked on their shoes.

I guess I have to admit that I work for (with?)them, but Jaggad’s stuff is gonna be in the US this season, and I really like it. We have a removable chamois for the tri shorts, great for long races and for people who just want 1 pair of shorts for training/racing. There’s lots of other really great features, especially in the women’s line. We also have really good cycling and running clothing. Belinda Granger, Chris McDonald are sponsored athletes, if you’ve seen them in mags, websites, etc… look for it this season, you can p.m. me for more info…
That said, there’s a lot of really good choices out there; 2XU, Kiwami, Desoto has a new line, and I’m also excited for Blue Seventy’s swimskin.
I bought some Jagged clothing when in Australia last year and will vouch for it being sweet. That removeable chamois short is a very, very good idea and the fit of everything I tried on was great. Have worn the shorts for a season now and are still in fantastic shape. Glad to see you guys are making it to the states
Can u post a link? Shamelessly of course…

I have been extremely happy with my Sugoi gear; tri, cycling, and running. Head to toe, inside and out, they have just about everything you need, and it is all functional, high quality, and stylish.
Yeah, I’m really excited to work with them. I also think the chamois idea is really smart. They do tons of athlete testing, they’ve got a technical development team in Australia (I’ll try to see if we can get one in the states!) that gets all the new ideas, and reports back. Not that we’re the only company doing that, but there’s a definite emphasis on it.
you can go to www.jaggad.com for more info. Also, you can just ask me about the details of the product (short/top length, pockets, etc…) as well as dealer info.
We’ll be stocking in the US at the end of February, so it will be available in time for the season.
shameless plug over! (for now)
I think Orca has gone off the deep end. Sorry.
This is not just because I modeled for them, because Tom and I carry a variety of clothing brands, but DeSoto has really outdone themselves this year. Their color combinations (for the ladies) and the functionality of their line is fantastic. During the shoot, I got to test a few of the prototypes. Awesome!
Based on the opinions of others I respect & personal workout experience over the past few months I’d have to say De Soto. I also like the fact that there’s a person behind the brand & that he contributes to the ST forum. My wife thinks I look great in it & that’s gotta be worth something.
I am new to De Soto & have yet to race in it, but indications are excellent ![]()
I will put my 2 cents in for Oomph gear. Super comfortable and like the DeSoto folks, stand behind their product 100%.

I’m a big fan of Oomph!, DeSoto, 2XU and Louis Garneau.
Around Interbike this year I shopped all the brands, felt the fabrics, sat through the fashion shows, etc – and the brand that really impressed me was 2XU. Two guys from Orca and one from Calvin Klein teamed up to create new fabrics and really brought some style to the genre. Their 07 line looks terrific. The other brand that did great for us in 06 and looks good again next year is Craft. Their tri racing shorts are the best I’ve tried and get better for 07.
I’ve had a sneak peek at the gal’s 2007 DeSoto line and it looks great! Can’t wait to get it.

Yeah, 2XU has it going on. From what I’ve read on this post, simple clothing seems to be the trend for 2007. Forget the built-in stabilizer bar and on-board spring compressors; we want clothing that is simple, stylish, and affordable. That’s it.
