What is the fastest, best, sexiest, tri bike of '06. Price is not an issue. Cervelo P3C, Scott Plasma Limited, Orbea Ordu, or the Time TT?
I don’t ride the P3C but I ride a P3 a few years old. It’s an extremely aero and agressive bike…great for my olys. I would seek a more comfortable bike for longer races, personally. Anyone else feel differently?
Its a fast bike though, so aero you’ll be shocked. I can’t imagine the carbon model.
Obrea is hot, but I guess you already know that. I’d say Time. Guru’s Ti bike is pretty awesome and unique as well.
The Plasma, hands down
Of course, no one really has any idea how the bike rides. I’m sure if the “bike” goes 5 hours at Kona next month, it will ride the wave like the Kaliber did under Stormin Norman.
TIME TT without a doubt in my mind. It’s expensive but god damn is it worth it.
I just returned from the BTAC Show( Canada’s answer to Interbike). I am not a bike expert or reviewer - I was there for other business purposes, but I must say that the new Scott Plasma is s very interesting looking frame/bike.

The fastest? Probably the one sittting under Bjorn, so that would be the P3c.
The best? Well, that probably belongs to the guy that will win Kona next month, so probably a custom Specialized or the tri version of the TTX.
The Sexiest? Isn’t Jessi Stensland riding a Specialized these days?
I don’t ride one, I am not fast enough that it counts anyway, but wouldn’t a softride still be the fastest bike?
I would never buy one, the additional maintainance with no mechanics experienced with it in my area and the funny looks - which need a 4:45 bike split IMHO to not look odd - brought me to the orange QR caliente, still a nice bike, but the fastest IMHO is clearly the softride.
I’m so green… what the heck does IMHO mean? My vote is for the Plasma!
FWIW, I think the Trek guys said the new TTX was just as fast as the BMC TT (Phonak) bike and the P3C. Implying that those are the two fastest bikes out there. If you could get the Phonak bike, then that is by far the best one because no one else has it. Otherwise, probably P3C.
