Does anyone know if the fork on the 2005 Soloist Team has a carbon steer tube?
Any opinions on carbon vs. non-carbon steer tubes?
Thanks,
DC

cervelo.com lists the fork as full carbon. i know that the 2004 soloist had the Easton EC90 fork. aside from weight, i’ve not noticed much of a difference between aluminum and carbon steerer tubes. i can’t imagine the difference really even matters on a TT bike where you’re not accelerating repeatedly or yarding on the bars much.
I personally feel safer using a star nut rather than a compression cap…
