2002 Zipp 303 Tubulars

I bought Tri Zone’s last pair of 2002 Zipp 303 Tubulars for $650. The price seemed too good to be true, so what is the deal with these wheels? Or…did I get a great deal?

This is my first set of tubulars, so what PSI do I fill them and are the Conti Competition Tubulars a good set of tires? Also, do I need valve extenders on the 303s?

Thanks

Yes, they are good wheels. If you save them for racing they should last you a very long time.

If you factor in puncture resistance, the Competition is arguably the best tubular available.

Yes, you will need valve extenders. The more expensive kind that allow you to have the valve at the end of the extender work the best.

Thanks for the info. I can’t wait to start racing on them this year.
