Season’s over but it this race is creeping up
.
yep! I am in for that one:-)
Me too. That will be my first IM. Its going to be lots and lots of computrainer hours coming from DC, although I do have 20 days in San Diego in the next month and a half to jump start my training. I would like to get 4 or 5 long days on the course in Feb too, coming from washington DC.
Wow! Only 20 weeks, I just got into my “off-season”. I guess I will need to start running instead of playing basketball and get my new frameset built up for next year.

No…what is the computrainer challenge???
go check it out. first two weeks are test rides to find zones, after that i think dec is zone 2. It makes it fun to race against others once a week. Had a great ride last night. see what you think
I have a reminder set in Outlook that just keeps counting down, it is amazing how something that seemed so far away no longer seems that way. I think 20 weeks seems like a long time unless you are training for your first IM
I will be doing all my training here in CO except a week in AZ in January while my GF does the R&R marathon so hope to bring the bike and preview the course.

Marisol,
I just signed up. However, I will not be able to ride the computrainer until 11-30. Is it OK if I do the test that day, and then start my zone 2 stuff?
I haven’t done that but I do have a short cut to it, I like your idea though. I do have a big photo of IM finish line as my wallpaper. I agree, it helps to keep the motivation around as much as you can.
yes, that works. the test ride we are doing 2 weeks in a row. others signed up too. should be fun. then you can race others by using their data if you want.
5280 are on the front range? I’m in also in for my first. I was just thinking today it was a long ways off until I saw this thread…back to the trainer I go…

From September 13th, 2004 until race day my homepage was the wisconsin clock. After that I changed it to the florida countdown. It’s a very nice reminder to see many times throughout the day.

Yeah, I live in Denver towards the SE side. So far the weather has been kind, except that last few days anyway. The darkness is the bigger challenge for me. You?
Up by Eagle, right now it’s not only the darkness it’s the single digits that brutal. I am jealous of group ride this weekend in Phx, it’s supposed to be in the 80’s. Happy training ![]()
yeah you guys have been getting it lately. I am jealous too, but make do with what you got I guess. Look forward to seeing you in April
Was thinking about that the other day…equating the time from now until Arizona to this same time frame ahead of IM Florida…meaning the correlative time was like mid-June. And that seems like yesterday—April 9 will be here in a flash!
