2 Spots for Accenture this weekend

.

sprint or olympic?

Sorry about that - Olympic on Sunday.

Isn’t that illegal to sell and buy race spots? keep in mind Chicago marathon is doing this and accenture might do as well pretending as potential “buyer” get contact with you and ban your real name from the race forever…
have fun

Don’t know about the marathon, but Accenture allows transfers up to a certain date. Not sure when the date is, but they do allow it for a $25 fee.

that “date” isn’t the day before the race  It was early July I believe. If you are trying to sell it today what you are doing it is illegal and unethical.

All changes and transfers must be submitted by July 1, 2007.
NO EXCEPTIONS!

wow, quite the ‘race admin. rule enforcement police’.

you work for capri events or something?

No I am sorry but here people are talking about drafting etc. all the other stuff, trading illegal entries seemed to be one of them. Don’t you think?

I see it more as he is trying to help ensure nobody gets scammed by this guy…

well few of us earn a living at racing.

i think drafting is unethical, so i don’t draft
i think changing entries may put in you in the hospital without insurance coverage, so i don’t change entries.

so i don’t do those things, but i think other people are smart enough (or, as the case may be, dumb enough) to make their own decisons without me being the triathlon busybody …

I don’t think he is scumming anybody, he just wants to save his $125 entry fee I guess. Which is not right.

You probably have more experience than me. I am just an AGer. But what are the chances he will sell the entries for the original age groups and gender? So what if male 30-34 gets a female 50-54 entry and races under her name?
Oh well why should I care anyway… not my race.

You’re seriously selling your entires?

i feel for you. but selling entries is the very least of “things” happening at that race. the no. of people in their proper age group that cut the course (swim, run, and/or bike courses) when i raced there was unreal. none of their results were removed. some even got product prizes.
