I was riding yesterday at a popular bike spot, when, toward the end of my ride I first saw a nice red Cervelo (I think it was a Soloist) with nice aerobars, etc. As I passed I noticed that the rider had flat pedals sans toe clips and was wearing tennis shoes.
A short while later, as I was pulling into the parking lot, I noticed a P3 go by with the rider so high in the bars as to be in approximately the same torso angle as being on the hoods on a road bike.
You gotto look at the legs… Shaved or not…
Other than that I agree could be a test ride maybe? Hoping always for the best but I’ve seen Litespeed with a kickstand.

Hey! I’ve seen plenty of really good riders and triathletes who don’t shave and plenty of wannabees who do. (I’m one of the wannobees who doesn’t–except for IMAZ (and Kona–if I can shake this achilles tendonitis.) (HEY!!!If I make it to Kona, I might even shave my chest!!!) !-P
My LBS guys take the bikes they are working on out for a spin in the shoes they are wearing at work. Usually tennis shoes or Doc Martens (or whatever).

Pienso que no. This was a young woman in fairly new, full riding gear (PI, I think), nowhere near an LBS. Her pedal stroke was not an LBS employee stroke. Good try, though.
Tom, I guess you’ve never been to Long Island.
If its automatic its OK, but if you have a stick, it really, really sucks.
Now, who in their right mind would buy a Porsche and opt for auto transmission over stick shift. Thats like buying an SUV with 2 wheel drive only. That just screams poseur…!
