Are there any threadless headsets which allow you to use a 1" fork in a 1-1/8" headtube other than the Chris King Devolution say, speaking hypothetically, if a friend of someone I know had just bought the wrong fork because he’s an idiot?
secondly for a different bike the old chestnut of integrated headset compatibility - looking to replace an FSA IS2 from a 2004 P2K. Is “IS” the notation for the sizing standard and so would I be safe to upgrade to the Cane Creek IS6, IS8 and maybe even the Solos IS.
Not that I have seen. However, please get the proper 1 1/8 fork. Sorry you got the wrong fork - at least you did not cut it on the wrong side of the marking tape like I once did to an Ouzo Pro.
Yes the IS is a standard size. They all suck however
What if you got a short length of 1 1/8" aluminum tubing and bonded it to the steerer, converting your 1’ to a 1 1/8"?
If you did that - then you are working WAY more than you need to as King makes a HS to take care of it. However the King may just cost as much as a new fork.

You can get reducing cups that press into a 1.125" headtube and reduce it to 1" allowing the use of a standard 1" headset.

The Cervelo of that era was the narrow 1" diameter I’m pretty sure. The headsets for 1" Cane Creek standard are 99% the same, there are slight differences in the crown race depth and/or material. The Campagnolo Hiddenset for 1" uses the same ID as their 1.125" headset (42mm), and the Shimano integrated 1" headsets are pretty rare, and of course Cervelo never used them.
Found the press in shims you referred to so that’s one problem solved.
On the integreated question you’re dead right the wolf TT fort is a 1" steerer and as I check more carefully it seems like only the IS 2 and IS 6 from CC are available in that size so I’ll probably use one of those.
Thanks again - for all it’s faults ST just answered two questions that none of the three bike shops I visited on Manhattan on Saturday could
