1st real swim since IMOO 07- damn that hurt

Nothing like using avoidance as a way to deal with the weakest leg of your tri skills, huh? I did about 1k yds w/ a friend back north in December, and that was it. Yesterday, I got in the pool and did a “real” workout of 1500 meters. Yeah, my new local pool is in meters; that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it. The excuses are gone, the pool is a half mile from my quarters on post, and we move in in 5 days. I’m going back for 2k tomorrow- got a tetanus booster in the R shoulder today, and my L always hurts when I start back up (2 separations over the years). Bring the pain, improvement will follow!

Glad to hear your flopping around again. I can’t swim for a couple weeks due to Lasik surgery. Hope everything is going well in Texas.

Awww, but doesn’t it feel good to be back in the water?

Good luck

Good luck with getting back at it.I'm sort of in the same boat as my neck is still hurting from a crash in Oct.I try every now and then to get back in the water but I'm nearing the point that it's either just do it or can the whole season.I can't really do that as I've already paid for my plane ticket to Canada so I guess I have to just do it.Funny thing is I actually love swimming and if I'm swimming then the other two sports follow.I hope you get your enthusiasm back.
