Every year the employees of Austin Tri-Cyclist have a “How out of shape are we” duathlon (frost yer fanny duathlon). Also its a great way to start the 2009 bragging rights. Here are some pics of us with the race ready bikes, which propably rival what the pros would ride. Good times :slight_smile:

thanks for making me jealous! I love the p3 in black and red. That is sweet. They get my vote for #1
#2 goes to the cannondale.

so what are the results?

The race is tomorrow morning.
The guy in the white ballcap (Grant Glauser) has a good chance of winning the long race overall.
Missy D will be podium in the Women’s LD race.
The rest of us are battling it out in the 2 / 10 / 2 short race.
I’m going to beat all of the young punks on the bike (but maybe not the run)

I love how no one has asked why you did not take a picture of that P4 in the back but got most of the other bikes.

Oh lordy, Tom D has competition in the ‘pics of my wife’ category. You guys put together the sickest rides in the southwest, and maybe beyond.

Adam - Cannondale Slice w/Sub 9 and Z8 = 2nd o/a short course
Ryan - World Champ P3C w/Zipp dicc set = 3rd o/a shortcourse
Missy - World Champ P3C w/Zipp disc and Z4 front = 2nd o/a long course
Grant Glauser - P2C w/Zipp 1080 set = 1st o/a long course
DCR - 2009 P(? ) w/Z8 rear and Z4 front = close second in age group

Good time for all. Not too cold. Great way to start the season.

What did you do to the P3’s Seat post? Did you cut the carbon so that you can fit that bottle cage?

We used to cut them all the time to fit in bottle mounts and saddle bags.

The newer seatpost version with the two bolt holes and products
like Hydrotails that fit them has led to less cutting.

We’ve never had a problem due to the cut.

  2. The slice performed well today. Managed to sneak in at 2nd overall. I am hoping to change it to a BB30 crankset and see if there is a difference. The C-dale rocks…and is easy to spot in transistion. :slight_smile:
