Does anyone run a 12sp Red AXS RD with a dura-ace or ultegra cassette? Is it ok? That RD can’t accept more than 33t, so I would go with an 11-30t. I know probably not ideal, but I’m just weighing some options.
I had to do that for im cascais as i did not receive the xdr free hub body in time. Use DA 11-30
It works surprisingly good, not that much noise and shifting is good.
But i have receive the xdr body, and will mount back thé axs cassette
Not quite the same. I run a 12 speed XT cassette on my Stumpjumper with a GX AXS 12 speed rear derailleur and it shifts great. Same with my Garbunk cassette and my XO1 AXS rear derailleur on my fat bike.
You can use it with a 11-34 without any issues. Shifting isn’t 100% perfect, but definitely passable and good enough to race on.
I have since changed from Shimano free hub to SRAM simply as I converted my last bike with Campy 11 (which I can use a Shimano 11 cassette on making it shift darn near perfect!) to SRAM 12.
Yup! I have a Shimano cassette body on the Saris H3 trainer, so instead of purchasing the XDR body, I went ahead and put on a Shimano 12-speed cassette. Bike has SRAM Red AXS 12 speed with flat top chain. Shifts well
