101 - Recovery time

So since there is going to be a 101 in racine next year I’m wondering what people have experienced the recovery time for the 101 distance as compared to a half and IM.

I think I’d like to do the 101 in racine, but not sure how i’ll do for recovery if I wanted to do IMWI as well.

Thoughts?

After doing Clear Lake I think it was 2 weeks to the day for my biking to recover from being crippled to back to my usual slow. Recovery for my running was a few days more.

I did a similar distance race last year (4k/120k/30k) and raced a sprint tri 2 weeks later. Didn’t have a lot of speed from LC training, but was plenty recovered to race again. I’ve never done IM, so can’t compare.

I also did a 4/120/30 last year but it was my last race of the season. However, just 4 weeks before that I did a 4/180/20 (DNF’d an iron). If Racine is the same time of year (late July, right?) there should be 7 weeks recovery to IMWI which I think should be enough.
