As we were on our way to Mass this morning, D’Wife asked “Did you run today?”
“No, I took today off” I answered
“Nobody runs on Easter, I guess?” she added
“Only St. Peter and St. John”
She looked perplexed
“Mary Magdalene was already there” I explained “Well, she was there, first. Then came to get them”
That didn’t help
“It’ll be in today’s gospel” I told her “Just wait for it”
About forty-five minutes later …
“A reading from the Gospel according to St. John …”
