I love the part in Dusk to Dawn where Selma Hayak dances with the snake and then lets the tequila roll down her leg. Time for a cold shower.

Dark Shadows with Frank Langella as Barnabas Collins. One I enjoyed was one from 80’s with Keifer Southerland and the brat pack. I forget the name. Something like Bad Boys.
Edit: It came to me: Lost Boys
Shadow of a Vampire (2000)
Near Dark.
I love this thread. Vampires are a hobby of sorts for me ![]()
Lost Boys. Great movie.
“Love at First Bite” with George Hamilton. That Count had an awesome tan and loved the ladies!
I am not usually into vampire movies (or horror movies in general) but 30 days of night was really good IMHO. Also of course ‘interview with the vampire’, although the book was a LOT better
I thought that the Bram Stoker’s from a few years ago was a pretty good effort. It kept reasonably to the book.
As for books, I really enjoyed The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. Filled with many twists and turns.
Bernie
Nosferatu
Dracula (1931)
Near Dark
Interview With The Vampire
Lost Boys
Dusk till Dawn
Blade (series)
Nightwatch
Underworld (series)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Blacula (of course)
To name a few.
I liked Salem’s Lot and 30 Days of Night. Nothing beats The Monster Squad though. Wolfman’s got nards!
I’ll second The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova - great book on Dracula and Vlade the Impaler, the real-life Dracula.
“Once Bitten”
May be Jim Carey’s first movie. IIRC, the girlfriend in that movie was damn good looking.
Vampire’s Kiss - Nicholas Cage
.
**Blacula **
.
30 Days of Night was great. Scared the hell out of me.
Near Dark - Hubby likes that one.
Thanks for reminding me of that book. It was great. Plus the way it ended left room for a sequel.
fal7 in Sunny Warm Houston
There was only one true Hollywood vampire.
Embrace of the Vampire - Alyssa. Milano. Vampire. Lesbian. Sex.

it was an interesting book, but it meandered a bit too much in my opinion in the last 3rd, could have been tightened up a bit when they were doing all of the running around. Still it was fairly well written, although nowadays the semi-vampire-related series that’s holding my attention a lot is Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files, very entertaining (been reading 2 books a day for the past week, pity I am almost done already
)
Guess what comes out tomorrow! Twilight!
