High pressure has broken down (finally) just in time for the race this weekend. Sunday’s report is for partly cloudy skies with a high of 82, 13 degrees below average for this time of year. Fog layer is expected to thicken throughout the next few days. Should be a fine day for racing!
Average high for weather this time of year is 85 degrees (not sure where someone is getting 95? for normals)… currently looking out of the Vineman office door it is 60 degrees with heavy mist as guys load our T! truck. (T2 is and finish are already set up!)
High temp yesterday was 75-78 degrees the past couple days. If i had to make a bet i’d say this pattern will likely stick over the next few days. Water temp is 75. There should be no weather worries … all you have to do is have fun and race! IF you are coming from warm weather pack some warm clothing!
It has been a cooler summer than last year for someone who asked.
I made the mistake of actually beleiving the channel 2 weatehr guy this morning. The average temp info was from him. Living in Wanut Creek I would say it’s been a cooler than average year here too, only one day so far over 100 that I can remember.
