I’m 48 and haven’t ran a 1/2 marathon in about 20 years. My longest training run since “getting back in to shape” is 8 miles at about 8 minute mile pace.
I’ve decided I might try a 1/2 IM in June at BSLT. I’m planning on running a 1/2 mary in December mainly as a fitness barometer. Here’s my questions to all the Running Czars:
If I’d like to go 1:30 for the stand alone 1/2 mary, what pace should I be running in my long run. And will 12 miles for my long run be long enough?
