Does the helmet have the CPSC sticker in it?

Looks like the Europeans and professionals use them, but the CPSC didn’t certify them, hence no availability in the US. That said, I’ve never heard of a single incident concerning legality for any triathlon or time trial with athletes choosing this helmet, including my own races (NRC events).

Well heres one. J.J. bailey got DQed from the Elite race at lifetime becasue he was wearing a Giro Adavantage that wasn’t certified.

Yes and no. Some races if you aren’t from the U.S. they will allow all pros to use non-cspc spec helmets to make it “fair”. However this is only ironman. USAT hasn’t caught on yet.
He did also missunderstand me i think, J.J. is elite-age group at Lifetime fitness. Not Elite as in pro. The only people that can wear this is athletes outside of US. or if you don’t race in teh u.s.
