0 setback or forward post

I am looking at converting a roadbike to a tri bike. Can some recmmend a good 0 setback or forward seat post besides the profile design.
Thanks

Thomson makes both a zero and a set back. Although I would generally avoid forward posts on most road bikes as it may negatively effect handling by putting too much weight forward.

There are a number of zero setback posts available. I had a Bontrager on my old TCR.

Don’t go to a forward seat post. Puts you too far forward and throws of the handling on a road bike. OK for 75/76 degrees, depending upon the road frame, but don’t tri to get too steep on a road bike.

The Thomson post is probably the best currently available. Reasonably light, reasonably priced, easy to adjust (and it holds an adjustment) and strong (although I confess I’ve never had a strength issue with any post). Thomson also makes a setback post that can be flipped around to give you forward offset (you do have to flip the clamp, but easily done). But, be careful about moving to far forward on a road bike. It will really screw with the handling. It’s probably a better idea to set a road bike up ‘big slam’ style, with a moderate forward position and shorty aerobars. I think Slowman has a write up about it somewhere on the site.

Go for the 0. If you need a forward, get a different frame.

Or get a forward post and run the saddle mid-rail. Remember, you don’t need to run the saddle all the way forward. Too many people out there jam the saddle all the way forward, as far as it will go, and end up ripping the rails out of their saddle. If you’re one of them, a forward post (even a slight one like the Thompson) with the addle mid-rail is a smarter option.
