tri bike ----> road bike... i'm shredded
Just switched from riding a tri bike with 7cm of drop to a road bike with less. The new position is absolutely destroying my lower back. I can't ride 40 miles now without being in serious pain, which never happened before.

Is my road position horrible? It feels pretty good... till I ride for an hour.

Any feedback is MUCH appreciated.

Same thing happened to me when I switched.
I'm pretty sure it's just an adaptation period.
You use different and more core and back muscles on a road bike.
Mine slowly diminished and was totally gone after 3 weeks.

x3 I went through the same thing, put a 100 miles on her and your body will start giving in to the new position.

I have more issues going from road to tri than the other way. Road is always more comfy. I didn't see glaring problems with your position.

They are slightly bent when I lean back. Does it look like I'm reaching too far? Or do I just need to lean forward more?

need a size or 2 larger bike and more leg extension. Looks like your 6 ft 3 riding a 54 cm bike
