I have a history of skin cancer, and, living in south texas, just bought a Desoto Riviera sleeved tri top. I can't find anything that says that I cannot swim in this thing in a 70.3. Is this thing legal to swim in as is? it is skin tight, so I'm not too worried about drag issues.

They are legal if the sleeves are above your elbows. I race in a De Soto Riviera sleeved trisuit.

You're good to go, I usually start my race day with coffee and the next thing is to pre apply a good layer of waterproof 500+SPF sunscreen on the exposed areas. Yes, most of it will wash off in the swim but if you're fast enough you can be back collecting your medal before the sun gets too high.
