road rash and swimming
I remember a post on road rash and swimming, specifically, how long one should stay out of the water.
I took a spill this weekend and did a number on my knee and lower leg, not too bad, not deep. What are the recomendations out there? I would swim in the ocean now with it, I don't know the protocol for a public pool

thanks for the help!

Public pool policy is usually to ban anyone with this sort of thing. As far as open lake or ocean swimming is concerned, it might be in your best interest to stay out of the water in order to avoid the possibility of infection. It's rare but still possible.

The worst road rash I ever had was several years ago while wiping out big time when on roller blades. At that time scuba diving was my main interest and this kept me out of the water for a few weeks.

...not to mention the risk of infection to yourself.
