question about running with power and intervals

With the new tech of running power meters (Stryd) and the knowledge of interval training on the bike. What would the benefits be of using a trainer workout (Trainerroad, Zwift, etc) on the treadmill and adjusting my power (pace) accordingly?
I know there will be some posts saying the Stryd is worthless, but I own one and am trying to use it to better my run. I do not plan on getting rid of it.
