Top 5 people I would like to see in a tri: (that don't do them already)

1) Lance in the ironman (shoot already broke one the rules)
2) Dan Obrien (the decathlete)
3) Conan Obrien (the comedian... no reason)
4) Paula Radkliff (the marathoner)
5) Dick Chaney (again no real reason... just popped into my head)

Arghhh must think harder and come up with a better list

2. Thora Birch.
3. Kate Winslett.
4. The previously mentioned Anna Kournikova.
5. Me again real soon.

Should be permanently banned by all triathlon governing bodies:
1. Those Greek shipping magnate guys with the tan, gold glasses and huge gut but little white speedo.
2. Steve-O.

W. he's already a pretty accomplished runner. it'd be fun to see the SS tag along throughout the race (imagine trying to protect him in the swim!!!)

How about that guy from the Jackass TV show?

G-Dub is pretty fast! I can't remember his specific times, but I was impressed that our president could beat a lot of people in the shorter races...

1) I second the suggestion that every idot hack who's published a derisive article about tri-geeks or cyclists in the past year should join us for a race. We'll then see who's a "real athlete" and who's not.

2) My ex-girlfriend's mom (she's hot!)

3) My master's coach (she's hot too!)

4) Ally Landry, the Doritos girl (someone told me that she's engaged to "Slater" from Saved by the Bell, but I absolutely refuse to believe it.)

5) Leanne Tweeden, from Fox Sports' show, "Bluetortch." That girl's smokin' and she's a great athlete too...

From Runners World:

Fast Pace For President Bush in Three Mile Race
President George W. Bush ran 20:29 for three miles at Fort McNair Military Park near Washington, D.C. on Saturday, and while it wasn't the sub-20 minute time he was hoping for, the nearly 56-year-old Chief Executive ran arguably the best race of his life.

Accompanied most of the way by long-time friend and Runner's World Footwear Editor Paul Carrozza of Austin, Bush finished in the top ten percent of about 300 runners and averaged just under 6:50 per mile.

I'd like to see some Kenyan's, like Paul Tergat, give it a shot. Also Melissa Stark from Monday Night Football. It'd be entertaining to see Martha Stewart too.

Though in W's case, the Secret Service does have a fair number of agents who were fishie types through school years. (including the obligatory recreational water polo background)

And though she's not a 'name' like others mentioned here, one of my old college professors has a daughter who's an athlete at U of Michigan these days. As a freshman, she swam a 23.9 50 yd free for the Wolverines, then turned in a 2:08 800 meters not too long after that at the Big 10 track championships. Might be worth USA triathlon's time to get in touch with her her senior year to see if she's interested in giving triathlon a try since there seems to be a world of potential there.

I'd have to say my School's Athletic director. He views Track and Cross COuntry as the "Unimportant Sports". He also strangely resembles Mario from the Mario Bros.

And of course myself, as an X dorrito scarfing Video Game Crazed Zombie.

(8 months without touching a video game system :) )
