Now you have gone and offended this guy

for some of us who saw or were affected by the so-called crack epidemic and war on drugs up close it's a disturbing reminder

So you're saying the crack epidemic and war on drugs weren't really epidemics and wars, they were just called that?

That would be pretty offensive to someone involved.

PS - I recently used a term that an Irish person found offensive. I had no idea of the original meaning (few people in the US do). She explained it to me, and I've stopped using it. It's not a big deal to change, or at least think about changing. For me at least. I didn't jump up and tell her to HTFU and emphasize that she can't "bully" me and that I was offended by her request. YMMV.

All of this just so the OP could get a backdoor brag in...

You might be in the running for 'most unable to take a joke'
There are some mean-sprited threads on ST, but this isn't one of 'em.

OP could have created a thread about poltical correctlness over in the LR.
Instead, he started it here -- apropos of pretty much absolutely nothing.
And it seems OP isn't even following along. So where is the harm?
A few posts here have had me crapping myself from laughter! (apologies to Depends wearers)

this thread is turning into a ST all time top ten best.

Sorry to any thread that isn't in the top ten (they can have a finishers medal - I've got plenty to spare); no offence to finishers or medals intended.

Also, no reference to a certain male genital part was intended with the "top ten" reference above which, upon further consideration makes me concerned about the ever popular NCAA conference: "Big Ten"

I'm gotta to put on my SJW hat now, because this is completely offensive to anyone rated a 9 or less.
