nicole leder was 11' down at 20km mark and is now 1'18' down at km38...

A 2:45 marathon sounds more reasonable..

Macca put in a 2:40 marathon. Here are results:

Chan McRae came in 11th, so it looks like the ex-cyclist is doing okay in triathlons. For a cyclist, the top guys put a good chunk of time into him on the bike.

how about joe "kick ass" bonness...40th in 9h18...
despite what people think, the course ain't flat at all on the bike

He LOOKED so easy and calm the whole race. Smiling and laughing with the camera, joking with Lothar on the first part of the bike, and an easy look on his face throughout out the run. He said he did not feel good on the first lap of the bike, but things began to fall in place on the second lap and his run was awesome, 'I just kept getting faster.'

His post race interview inlcuded his Three Goal comment: 1)win Roth 2) under 8:00 3) win Hawaii. He also had his typical tongue quipping 'Roth is the ONLY race in europe worth racing.' and 'I'm happy I finally broke up the German domination of this event.'



Nicole Leder simply had an awesome run. wow.

there is ironman and there is the hawaii ironman. training and smarts don't necessarily have anything to do with it. trust me, i know from experience. a great race for macca, but it doesn't really mean anything as far as hawaii goes.
