Ideally less than a $100. It seems that there aren't many inexpensive options for both new and used. Maybe I am not looking in the right places.

Used may be your best bet.

Most hub manufacturers now have XDR freehubs available. Just keep an eye out for any used wheels that have e.g. a Novatec (or rebadged Novatec) hub & you can pick up a freehub replacement for not much money either direct from Novatec or through the likes of Hunt who use their hubs

That's a good idea and it got me looking right away. However, the issue is now most used wheels ads dont list the hub manufacturer. I suppose i need to look for wheels (presumably with shimano/sram 10/11 freehub as that is the dominant 'standard'?) specifically from those hub manufacturers that make xdr freehubs?

All recently manufactured wheels are made with Shimano 11 speed freehub bodies on them.

How the heck do I find a Novatech XDR freehub? I can't for the life of me find them online, specifically I need one for a F-482 hub.

Novatec only have a couple of freehub types which depend on the axle diameter. F482 uses a B2 I believe.

Pretty sure that’s the same freehub as used on Prime hubs (Wiggle’s in house wheel brand) which are rebadged Novatec. Drop them a message to check.
