For the first timer it can be a real mind-blower - An entire convention hall filled with cool bike stuff with famous bike people ( Gary Fisher, Greg Lemond, Eddy Merkx etc . . ) cruising around.

However, keep in mind that this show is directly or indirectly about business and that's why people are there to sell/buy/communicate/promote their product or service.

Have a great time!

This is what you can expect: Yup, Heaven is an accurate characterization. It is as large or larger than the Detroit Auto Show. It is Nirvana. Everything is there. If it isn;t there, it probably doesn't count for much. The show is huge. You can see products that are out now, coming out and will never come out. It is an incredible orgy of deal making, deal breaking, smoke and mirrors, good business, good marketing, guerilla marketing, good ideas, bad ideas and everything in between. In almost every way, it is sensational. The venue, Las Vegas, has come a long way too. The city is largely cleansed of the cheesy porno hand outs on every single corner (although you still some) and it is the people watching capitol of the world. We are taking an entire crew to the show- at least 5 guys: Mark, Mike, Mike, Me, Lyndsay- everyone from our shop. It is where you see new stuff and get "re-excited" about the industry. If you are going, you will love it. Where else can you see 5 time Tour de France winner Eddy Merckx unpacking crates in a T-shirt and jeans. Absolutely awesome. Good restaurants in Las Vegas too. Make a point of eating dinner after sunset on the patio at Paris, across from the big fountain. Epic. Get shot off the top of the big "Space Needle" thing at night in one of those "ejector seat" things. It is a riot. Big fun. I'm fully stoked.
