do I need booties for Alcatraz?
Do I need a cap and booties made out of wetsuit material for alcatraz triathlon? Are they legal? If I'm not mistaken the race organization is offering to sell them. Are they any good? I'm very sensitive to cold water. What do you think?

I'd use the cap but I didn't need the booties. I would put some running shoes at the swim exit though. Running to the transition area in bare feet sucks.

Last year I did it with the neoprene cap but no booties. My feet were REALLY cold after the swim. Absolutely put running shoes on to get to T1.
