That was a great race. Always testing one's fitness to have their first and second 10K within a minute. (mine never were) For those new to the sport, the race was a single loop 10K, a solid single loop 62K bike, and then the run again.
o' the good ol' days.... Kearns with his DH bars, Marty Ray on crazy machines, Matt Brick lopping out a freaky fast 10K, Souza's domination, Souza's rocker hair and euro-briefs, Pigg-M.Montgomery-DeSoto-Riccatello keeping them all honest, the Puntos twins, Exceed, Donna Peters, BodyFuel, Tinely flying back in the mustache days, Tri-Fit day-glo split leg running shorts, Frank Shorter giving the bike thing a go, Roval wheels, PNF and her crank extensions, Erin Baker...
