cycling hates triathlon?
Why is it everytime i go into the local bike shop they treat me like some dick becuase i have triathlon stuff on (Shirt/hat)? Am i missing some west side story type hate they have for us? It seems to typically be the shops that have been around longer. I know when snowboarding came around, ski places hated us, is it like that? With that being said, alot of my road cycling buddies are all about me doing triathlon even if they dont. I dont really care, i just tend to spend my money else where, but why the attitude? Anyone else get this?

Lay off the fuel belt and compression socks at the LBS and you'll be fine.

Could very well be. Its really one shop specifically and specific people. I also live in a city where most people are pissed about life as a whole. :)

I'm no doctor, but that sounds like a textbook case of the personal problems.

Kidding.
Seriously though, bike shops do employ some real assholes. One time, these guys at the LBS tried to put some gatorskins on my race wheels....

Any run that doesn't include pooping in someone's front yard is a win.

You guys mean vicious?

I viscous cycle would be a material that changes its viscosity from lighter to heavy, which doesn't make much sense.

I'm probably butchering a quote from another poster but 'they don't hate us, they hate our constant celebration of mediocrity'.

Some bike shops are just dicks, regardless of what sport you do.
